BACK

I was born in Los Angeles, California in 1972. I started my career painting murals in Los Angeles in 1993 and continued this work in Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Oakland, Barcelona, Vitoria, Sevilla, Madrid, Lleida, Tolosa, Bilbao, etc… Muralism is my primary discipline which I continue to this day.
I have a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL), double majoring in History of the Americas and Art Theory and Practice with a Certificate in Latin American Studies and a Master of Arts from University of the Highlands and Islands (UK) in Art and the Social Practice. I relocated to Europe in 2001 where I continue my artistic practice.
In 2007 I cofounded IMVG (Itinerario Muralístico de Vitoria-Gasteiz), an organization that has produced over 40 large scale murals in the city and its surroundings.
I have participated in numerous conferences and forums relating to public art, cultural engagement, and civic action, sharing my experiences and providing training workshops for artists and arts administrators.
Since 202o I have developed my studio practice more intensely and am in the process of creating a new and important body of work that feeds off my personal biography and my 30-year career as a community artist.
I complement my professional activity organizing cultural projects that focus on participatory art, by offering my artistic services to the private sector, institutions, (public, private, educational, etc.)
To get a broader look into my artistic practice I invite you to see my work on this page or to pay me a visit at my studio (I speak English, Spanish, and German).
